Maternity Photoshoot Experience
We want you to be feeling fabulous and for your comfort recommend you attend your session around 28-34 weeks.
We understand that not everyone is body confident so we’ll chat about your comfort levels first and do our best to make you feel right at home.
You are welcome to bring a playlist of favourite tunes as that can help calm your nerves too.
We have comfy sofas to rest on between set-ups and a private changing space. If pregnancy is making you feel a bit warm, we have a fan to help cool you down.
A studio session lasts about 1-1.5 hours –We’ve got a selection of dresses and fabric drapes ready for use but also suggest some items to bring from home.
We will photograph you in a few different poses with different outfits and can include your partner (and any children you may already have).
Our relaxed approach takes 1-1.5 hours, ensuring a comfortably paced session and plenty of opportunities for you to sit and take a break.
What to expect after your maternity photoshoot
Before you leave the studio, there will be an opportunity to have a look at all of the beautiful art products we have so that you can start thinking about how you would like to display your images.
After 1-2 weeks your images will be presented to you in a beautiful slideshow back in the studio.
Once your artwork is ordered we will let you know when it is ready to collect (2 – 4 weeks depending on the type of artwork)
Frequently asked questions
We recommend 32-34 weeks if possible but can adjust if this doesn’t fit to your timeline. At this time your bump is generally carrying higher and you will hopefully feel more comfortable when standing and posing.
We will send a full preparation guide with a list of suggested items to bring with you. We have some maternity gowns in the studio as well as fabric drapes that we can use creatively.
A session is usually 1 – 2 hours as we like to allow time for changing outfits and working at a relaxed pace. We don’t want you to feel rushed.
Absolutely! We encourage your partner and other children to be a part of this photo session. We have even had some fur babies before.
We recommend doing your hair and make-up as if you are going on a night out. We have worked with professional hair and make-up artists in the past and are happy to quote for this service to be added on.
We will talk before the session about your comfort levels. We have some outfit options/suggestions that enable you to be completely covered. If you are ready to expose some serious bump then great. We will work in a way that makes you comfortable.
It usually takes 1-2 weeks to edit a selection of images to present to you.
This depends on the artwork option you choose. Many of our printed products are handmade in Italy so can take up to 3 weeks to arrive after they have been ordered.
